About the project
“Together for the good of society – a programme for the development and coordination of volunteering” is our long-term project to build structured volunteering within the organisation. Its main goal is to create a stable model of cooperation with volunteers that works not only on an ad hoc basis, but in the long term.
The programme is based on employing a volunteer coordinator, streamlining recruitment and onboarding processes, providing regular support to the team, and developing the competencies of the entire organisation. Thanks to this, volunteering is to become a real pillar of the association’s social activities.
Process
The project was planned as a phased process implemented in 2023–2026. The first pillar is volunteer coordination: employing a person responsible for recruitment, onboarding, monitoring, and day-to-day support for volunteers.
The second pillar covers improving the quality of activities: education in the form of the School of Good Volunteering, mentoring in developing a volunteering development plan, and study visits that make it possible to draw on good practices in Poland and abroad.
The third area is systemic support for the organisation: improving procedures, better communication with volunteers, promotional activities, and ongoing evaluation. As a result, the programme strengthens both the volunteer team itself and the organisation’s capacity to carry out social activities on a larger scale.

Impact
What changed thanks to the project
The most important outcomes set out in the project are lasting and measurable. In the application, we adopted a minimum level of 10 regular volunteers and 2,250 volunteer hours per year, which sets a clear standard for volunteer work in the organisation.
A direct effect of the programme is expected to be the professionalisation of volunteering: a permanent coordinator, a ready development plan, better onboarding of new people, and a more predictable cooperation system. An important component is also raising competencies through courses, mentoring, and study visits.
In the long term, the project is intended to translate into greater agency among young people, a more stable volunteer team, and a stronger link between the association’s activities and the real needs of the local community.
