About the project

From 17 to 19 June 2026, SWT hosted two representatives of the Norwegian organisation Forening Glasskule in Rybnik. The visit focused on exchanging arts-based education methods, exploring the local cultural ecosystem and refining directions for further Polish–Norwegian cooperation.

The three-day programme combined working meetings, presentations of partner experience and visits to local cultural, educational and industrial-heritage sites.

Process

During meetings at SWT, the teams presented their previous work and compared methods combining art, education and community engagement. The use of recycled glass and creative activities as tools for learning and dialogue was an important theme.

The guests also explored Rybnik’s social and cultural context. The programme included a visit to the historic Ignacy Mine, meetings in local studios and educational spaces, and working sessions on future joint initiatives.

Impact

What changed thanks to the project

The visit strengthened the partnership between SWT and Forening Glasskule, enabled a direct exchange of working methods and helped identify local resources for future cooperation. Two representatives of the Norwegian partner and the SWT team took part in the three-day programme.

The meetings allowed both organisations to define shared areas of interest and gather experience for the preparation of further Polish–Norwegian cultural activities.
